Simplify. Simplify. Simplify. I don’t know too many people who aren’t overworked, overstressed with not enough hours in the day. Trying to find the time to cram in an overly complicated nutritional strategy is a time suck that is destined to fail. Here is a short list of simple strategies you can follow to change your body without adding one more thing to your busy life.
(In no particular order)
-Build your meals around protein. This isn’t a sexy or hot take, but it works. Eggs, chicken, fish, turkey, steak and protein shakes (ready to drink if possible). I don’t enjoy eating chicken for breakfast each morning but it gets the job done without having to think about it.
-Drink at least half of your bodyweight in OZ of water per day. Split your day into thirds; morning-afternoon-night and try to get 20-40 ounces in during each.
-Don’t be overly restrictive. Restrictive diets never work. Have something you enjoy each day if it helps you stay on track.
- Build your own menu. Put together a few breakfast, lunch and dinner options and rotate through them each week. Think about how much time and decision making you can save by knowing exactly what you need from the store and exactly how much time you need to make it. This gives you options and saves you time.
-Find some healthy (ish) take out options. Lets be honest, you are going to need take out at some point, might as well start putting together a list of affordable options that wont add unnecessary calories.
-Be savagely patient with all of it. It takes time but your goal should be to create a plan you can live with.
That’s it for now.
